YOUNGSTOWN, OHIO — KLOCHAK – Michael A., 76, Youngstown, Ohio, passed away peacefully Sunday afternoon, March 17, 2013, at Shepherd of the Valley in Boardman, Ohio. Born Feb. 9, 1937, in Johnstown, son of the late Michael and Josephine Hern Klochak. He graduated from Johnstown High School and became an Air Force veteran. He served his country eight years active duty and then in the reserves for a total of 34 years. He worked for many years as a meat director for Peter J. Schmidt and later as a meat manager for various Sparkle and Giant Eagle stores. Mike was a member of St. Charles Church and Saxon Club. He was an avid golfer, a West Virginia sports fan and enjoyed traveling, but mostly enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Ruth A. Dunlosky, whom he married Oct. 24, 1970; daughters, Jacqueline Guevara, Cleveland, Ohio; Laurie (Dan) Baudile, Pittsburgh; Paula Phelps, Austintown, Ohio; Michelle (Joe) Laverty, Kinsman, Ohio; and Kimber Lee Klochak, Johnstown; sisters, Dorothy Maravalli and Patty Scileny, both of Johnstown; and Mary Lou Pierce, Tennessee; brother, Richard Klochak, Ligonier; and grandchildren, Michael Villagrana, Ian Guevara, Alexis Guevara, Taylor and Tyler Laverty, Brian Phelps, Adam Phelps and Victoria Phelps. Michael’s family would like to thank Dr. Spratt and his staff and the entire staff at Shepherd of the Valley in Boardman for the loving care and compassion they showed to Michael. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Fox Funeral Home, Boardman, Ohio, where prayers will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, followed by Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by the Rev.
