JOHNSTOWN — DOMINY – Stella C. (Gochnour), 94, Johnstown, died Monday, Nov. 05, 2012, at her home. Born April 13, 1919, Huff, West Wheatfield Township, daughter of Samuel Gochnour and Mary (Moss) Gochnour. Stella was a wonderful friend to all the forest animals that lived around her home. She was always feeding and taking care of injured animals and birds. Survivors include her sister, Gloria Mack, South Fork, formerly of Armagh; nephew, Bruce Mack, Indiana, Pa.; and nieces, Elaine (Mack) Steele, Johnstown; Sharon (Mack) Foster, Johnstown; and Bernadette (Gochnour) Bellantoni, Staten Island, N.Y. All of whom will always be grateful for such a kind and loving aunt. Preceded in death by father, Samuel Gochnour; mother, Mary (Moss) Gochnour; loving husband, William “Bill” Reese Dominy, who died in 1984; brothers, Andrew, Matthew, Roscoe and Theodore Gochnour; and sister, Cecelia Bennett. At Stella’s request, there will be no viewing. A private service will be held Wednesday at James F. Ferguson Funeral Home Inc., Blairsville, the Rev. Terry Shaffer, officiating. Interment, Blairsville Cemetery. The family would like to thank Dr. Hadley Donahue and Windber Hospice. Without them, they would not have been able to fulfill Stella’s last wishes.
