WEST MIDDLESEX — HEIDER – Margaret E. “Peg” (Hahn), 87, Mitchell Road, West Middlesex, Pa., died at 10:20 a.m. Nov. 10, 2012, at her residence. Born May 8, 1925, in Alum Bank, Bedford County, daughter of William E. and Anna Rhue (Mickle ) Hahn. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Kenneth James Heider, whom she married June 29, 1946, and who died Jan. 16, 2010; two brothers, Paul and Harry “Bub” Heider; and one sister, Harriet “Sis” Rouzer. Survived by daughters, Margie “Cheech” Johnson, West Middlesex, and Maggie “MJ” Brant, Maryland; two sons, Fred Heider, West Middlesex, and Kenny Heider Jr., and wife, Elizabeth, Schellsburg; five grandchildren, Robert “Bobby J” Johnson, Holly Stair, Heidi Engle, Kennaley Heider and Desirae Heider. Two friends that remained close through the years are Park and Syl Williams, Schellsburg. Of the Protestant faith. Employed as a waitress and homemaker. Graduate of Pleasantville High School. Past president and life member of VFW Post 6233, West Middlesex. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012, at Smith Funeral Home, 3126 Main St., West Middlesex, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov 14, 2012, Sam Marchetta, Heartland Hospice chaplain officiating. Ladies Auxiliary District 28 will have a memorial service at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment, Haywood Cemetery, West Middlesex.
