JOHNSTOWN — MINTMIER – George, 64, Johnstown, died Nov. 10, 2012, at Washington Hospital, Washington, Pa. Born July 4, 1948, in Johnstown, son of Frederick J. and Freda (Schmidt) Mintmier. Preceded in death by parents; brother, Frederick Mintmier Jr.; and sister, Barbara Mintmier. Survived by nephew, Tom Mintmier, married to Rita, North Carolina; and nieces, Barbara Joan, married to Robert Feathers, Johnstown; and Kathy Heider, New York. Retired rehabilitation councilor for the state of Pennsylvania with more than 35 years of service. Member of Zion Lutheran Church. Air Force veteran of the Vietnam era. At George’s request, there will be no viewing or visitation. Memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Zion Lutheran Church, the Rev. Van Dyke, officiating.
