JOHNSTOWN — COMISKEY – Joseph W. Jr., 93, Arbutus Park Manor, formerly of Govier Lane, passed away Nov. 12, 2012, at his residence. Born Aug. 15, 1919, in Johnstown, son of Joseph W. Sr. and Carrie (Owens) Comiskey. Preceded in death by parents; wife, Clara Lou Comiskey; sister, Rita, and husband, Charles Mishler; and brother-in-law, William Zimmerman. Survived by children, Joann L., married to Joseph T. Fisher Sr., Johnstown; and Robert E., Benscreek; sister, Louise Zimmerman; grandchildren, Joseph Fisher; Theresa Everit, married to Richard; Josh and Jessie Fisher; Larisa Roth, married to Buddy; and Megan, Paul Joseph and Robert J. Comiskey; and four great-grandchildren. Member of St. Anne Church in Moxham and NARFE. He was a World War II Army veteran and he enjoyed woodworking. He retired from the U.S. Postal service with more than 20 years of service. Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday at John Henderson Co. Funeral Home, 215 Central Ave., where funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Father Bernard Karmanocky, OFM. Entombment, St. Joseph Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
