JOHNSTOWN — RYCHAK– Joanna M., 94, Johnstown, passed away Nov. 16, 2012, at Harmony House Manor. Born March 13, 1918, in Johnstown, daughter of John and Otilla (Freidl) Schnegg. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Charles Rychak Sr.; and brothers, Jacob, John and George Schnegg. Survived by loving children, Charles Rychak Jr., Altoona; Richard J. Rychak, married to the former Karin Garrett, Lakeland, Fla.; and Cindy J. Rychak, Johnstown. Joanna was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Her interests included polka dancing, gardening and fishing. She worked at Grant’s Department Store, Henderson’s Laundry, St. Andrew’s Catholic Church charities for more than 20 years and Sunnehanna County Club. She was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church, Johnstown. At the request of the deceased, viewing and funeral Mass will be private. Interment, Richland Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Moskal & Kennedy Colonial Funeral Home, Johnstown. Memorial contributions may be directed to the charity or organization of your choice.
