LAUREL VIEW VILLAGE — LOHR – Marian L., 92, Laurel View Village, died Dec. 8, 2012, at the Village. Born Dec. 31, 1919, in Paint Township, the daughter of Herbert M. and Evalyn M. (Custer) Lohr. Preceded in death by parents; infant brother, Robert Lohr; and sisters, Margaret Lohr and Virginia Border. Survived by brother, Donald, married to Caroline (Hegadus) Lohr, and several nieces and nephews. Marian was an active member of St. Thomas Lutheran Church. She was a graduate of the Conemaugh School of Nursing and a captain of the Army Nursing Corps in Panama. She also was a head nurse for Slippery Rock and a secretary of school health for the State of Pennsylvania. Marian also was a volunteer for the Red Cross for many years. Family receiving friends from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the George E. Mason Funeral Home Inc., Davidsville, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Pastor Nila Cogan officiating. Interment, Custer Cemetery. Those who wish, please make donations to St. Thomas Lutheran Church.
