BLUST – Sandra D. (Kerch), 64, Mechanicsburg, formerly of Quecreek, died Dec. 2, 2012, at home. Born Dec. 8, 1947, in Somerset, daughter of Frank Jr. and Helen (Zurvensky) Kerch. Preceded in death by father; infant brother, Stephen Kerch; and brother, Michael Albin. Survived by mother, with whom she resided; daughter, Allison, married to Andrew Zang, Mechanicsburg; brother, Frank, and wife, Ginger (Derimeti), Shippensburg; and nephew, Matthew Kerch, and wife, Cailin, Tuscaloosa, Ala. She was a 1965 graduate of Somerset High School and a 1969 graduate of Shippensburg University with a bachelor’s degree in education. She also received a master’s degree in library science from Shippensburg University. She was a librarian for the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection. Member of St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church, One Peter Drive, Mechanicsburg, where memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 14, 2012, the Rev. Father Stephen D. Weitzel, celebrant. Additional service at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012, at Hoffman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 409 Main St., Boswell, Deacon Jay Pyle, officiating. Committal, St. Joseph Cemetery, Ralphton.
