SIMON – Mildred (Sadlon), 94, formerly of Centennial Drive, died Dec. 27, 2012, at Church of the Brethren Home. Born Aug. 6, 1918, in Windber, daughter of Stephen and Elizabeth (Kersch) Sadlon. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Andrew Simon; sisters, Pauline Lech and Mary Sadlon; brothers, Stephen, Paul, George and Sam Sadlon; stepsisters, Anna Bellay, Christine and Sue Bukovsky, Elizabeth Shepko and Katherine Svonavec; and stepbrother, John Bukovsky. Mildred was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Survived by son, Jerry Simon, and wife, Joy (Fesko), Windber; grandson, Joshua Simon, and wife, Sunny (Zampogna), Pittsburgh; and numerous nieces and nephews. Retired employee of Bestform Industries and a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Windber. Friends received from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at William Kisiel Funeral Home, Windber, where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, the Rev. Dennis Doebler, officiating. Interment, Richland Cemetery.
