JOHNSTOWN — MUCHA – Bertha R., 99, Johnstown, passed away Jan. 8, 2013, at Golden Living Center. Born Jan. 1, 1914, daughter of August and Anna (Heinz) Steinacker. Preceded in death by parents; husband, John, who died in 1955; sister, Helen Roberts; and son-in-law, Francis R. Skovensky. Survived by daughter, Doris Skovensky; granddaughter, Barbara Evanisko; grandson, Edward Skovensky, and fiancee, Erica; great-granddaughter, Tarah Hauger, and husband, James; great-great-grandson, Carson; sister-in-law, Dorothy Mucha; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Bertha was a longtime member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, and was an avid seamstress who made many fine garments for her family. She enjoyed traveling and being with her beloved family. Family and friends will be received from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at noon Friday at Moskal-Reid Funeral Home, West End, the Rev. Bernard Karmonocky, celebrant. Committal, Grandview Cemetery.
