WYOMISSING, PA. — GUSKEY – Robert C., 89, Highlands of Wyomissing, Pa., formerly of Barto, Perkiomenville, Yardley, Johnstown and St. Michael, died Jan. 7, 2013, at Phoebe Berks Health Care Center, Wernersville, Pa., surrounded by his family. Born Aug. 10, 1923, in South Fork, son of Charles and Anna (MacTavish) Guskey. Preceded in death by parents; son, David; brother, William; and sister, Margaret Skotschir. Survived by loving wife, Evelyn M. (Yarnick) Guskey; son, Dr. Thomas R. Guskey, Lexington, Ky.; daughters, Marcia Grieder, Reading; and Karen Terzopolos, Palm, Pa.; and grandchildren, Jennifer, Michael, Christopher, Nicole and Hallie. Robert was a U.S. Navy veteran, having served his country honorably during World War II in the Pacific Theater. He was a service manager and field engineer with the former Burroughs Corp. (now Unisys) in Johnstown, Pittsburgh and Trenton, N.J., for 43 years, having retired in 1985 from the Cherry Hill office. A 60-year member of Cambria Lodge 278, F&AM. Lifetime member of American Legion, Post 551, St. Michael. Member of Pike Township Gun Club. He was a wonderful father, faithful friend, avid fisherman and hunter and true gentleman. Friends will be received from 10:30 a.m. until time of memorial service at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home Inc., South Fork, by the Rev.
