PORTAGE — VENA – Mrs. Hilda M. (Trexler), 95, Portage, entered into new life Jan. 11, 2013, at Memorial Medical Center. Born Nov. 3, 1917, in Cresson, daughter of James L. and Rose (Hammond) Trexler. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Eugene E.; brothers, William, Joe and Andrew; and sister, Ann Ruffing. Survived by children, Ronald, married to the former Ann Borlie, Lilly; and Lorraine, wife of Cameron Benko, Portage; grandchildren, Sharon DuBree, Anthony Vena, Vincent Vena, Lance Benko, Yvette Pisczek, Michele Poorman, Rene Delosh, Michael Vena and Eric Benko; and 18 great-grandchildren. Sister of Leonard (Alice) Trexler, New York; Raymond Trexler, Michigan; and Father Donald Trexler, Greensburg. Member of St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church. Lifetime member of Portage Volunteer Fire Company ladies auxiliary. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Jean H. Kinley Funeral Home, Portage. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Father Walter J. Moll and Father Donald Trexler, co-celebrants. Committal, St. Bartholomew Cemetery, Wilmore.
