SCHMALL – Linda M., 66, Mineral Point, died Jan. 12, 2013, at home. Born March 19, 1946, in Johnstown, daughter of Oscar D. and Mary Louise (Hunt) Howells. Preceded in death by father; brother, Roger Howells; and her aunt, Margaret Kuehne. Survived by mother; husband of 46 years, Edward W. Schmall; five children, Edward Jr., married to Michelle (Lang), Vestal, N.Y.; Janice, Rock Island, Ill.; Lori Pelkey, East Conemaugh; Debra, wife of John Gongloff, Nanty Glo; and David, and fiancee, Emma Shephard, Vinco; four grandchildren, Lauren and Jessica Pelkey and Kira and Nathan Gongloff; and sister-in-law, Irene Howells, Frederick, Md. Employed as manager of manufacturing-component for the American Red Cross, Johnstown. Member of Summit Chapel United Methodist Church. Her greatest joy was her family and her grandchildren and she will continue to watch from above. “You are our angel.” Friends received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Baker-Harris Funeral Chapel, Conemaugh. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Summit Chapel United Methodist Church, the Rev. John Weaver, officiating. Interment, Headricks Union Cemetery.
