UPPER YODER TOWNSHIP —
SEKERSKI – Anna Catherine (Pappas), 61, Upper Yoder Township, peacefully slipped into God’s hands surrounded by her loving family Jan. 19, 2013. Born April 24, 1951, in Johnstown, daughter of the late Theodore J. and Assunta (Caputo) Pappas. Survived by her husband of 27 years, Edward “Skip”; daughter, Carmen, married to Christopher Letzo; grandchildren, Isabella, Olivia and Sophia Letzo; sisters, Mary, married to Dr. Joel Borkow; Rita, married to the late John Krupa; and Theodora Pappas; and brother, Theodore Pappas. Also survived by stepchildren, Collette Neff, Ryan and Doug Sekerski and their eight children. She was a graduate of Ferndale Area High School. She retired from Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center’s Nuclear Medicine Department. Catherine was a devoted and loving wife, mother and “worlds best granny.” She loved spending time with her granddaughters. At Catherine’s request, there will be no viewing. Funeral Mass will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013, at St. Clement Catholic Church, Father Edward Rosenbaum. Friends received at the church from noon until time of Mass at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be payable to Carmen Letzo, c/o of Frank Duca Funeral Home, Westmont Chapel, 1622 Menoher Blvd., Johnstown, Pa. 15905, in order to establish a memorial fund in her memory. Interment, Grandview Cemetery.
