JOHNSTOWN — McLOOTA – Monica Catherine (Boyer), 48, Johnstown, died unexpectedly Jan. 21, 2013, at home. Born April 26, 1964, in Portsmouth, Va., daughter of Francis and Margaret (Morrison) Boyer of Kettering, Ohio, formerly of Lanesboro, Mass., and Williamstown, Mass. Preceded in death by brother, Richard Boyer; and sisters, Nancy Groom and Rebecca Hobbs. Survived by parents; husband, Timothy J.; sons, Jacob and Zachary; brothers, Frank Boyer, Kettering, Ohio; and Andrew Boyer, Reading, Mass.; and sisters, Suzanne Homer, Kettering, Ohio; Jean Boyer, Reading, Mass.; and Mary Boyer, Eau Clair, Wis. She attended schools in Italy and in four states, including Broad Brook School and Mount Greylock High School in Williamstown, Mass. She worked as a waitress, bank teller and a tree trimmer. She remodeled several houses doing interior design and carpentry work herself. She was known for her themed birthday parties she organized for her sons, costumes and elaborate cakes she made herself. Friends received from noon until time of funeral service at 1 p.m. Saturday Jan. 26, at Frank Duca Funeral Home, Westmont Chapel, 1622 Menoher Blvd., Johnstown, Pa. 15905.
