HOOVERSVILLE — MESAROS – Sharon L. (Simmons), 69, Hooversville, formerly of Geistown, died Jan. 26, 2013, at Windber Hospice. Born May 4, 1943, in Johnstown, daughter of the late William G. and Dorothy L. (Miller) Simmons. Also preceded in death by brother, William G. Simmons Jr. Survived by husband of 22 years, James R. Mesaros; children, Stephen M. Mastovich, Franklin Borough, and Lisa E. Russell, Hollsopple; granddaughters, Jamie (Michael) Andrews, Hollsopple, and Miranda F. Mastovich, Chesterfield, Ind.; brothers, Gregory P. (Polly) Simmons, Geistown, and Robert M. (Gloria) Simmons, Waxhaw, N.C.; sister-in-law, Ann Simmons, Johnstown; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friends, Chuck and Jeanette McCann and family. Sharon worked as a front desk manager at Ramada Inn, Somerset. Member of St. Anne’s Church, Davidsville. She volunteered for Conemaugh Township Band Boosters. Sharon loved camping and sailing with family and friends. Relatives and friends received from 2 p.m. until time of service at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, Father Mike Lewandowski, officiating.
