BERLIN — LAPE – Kathryn Naomi, 85, Berlin, formerly of Gray, died Jan. 28, 2013, at Somerset Hospice House. Born Dec. 24, 1927, in Somerset, daughter of Earl Clayton Stahl and Leah Mae (Miller). Preceded in death by parents; first husband, Clinton Joy Miller; second husband, Foster Peter Lape; grandson, his wife and daughters, Forrest, Susan, Megan and Brooke Stitely; brother, Presley C. Stahl; and infant brother and sister, Galen and Darly. Survived by children, Donald Miller, married to the former Carol Azarian, Milwaukee; Diana Stitely, and husband, Donald, Vowinckle; Rick Lape, married to the former Bernice Hoover, Gray; Larry Lape, and wife, Dottie, LaVale, Md.; and Cindy Berkey, and husband, Timothy, Boswell; grandchildren, Randy (Stacy) Miller, Wayne (Cassie) Miller, Stephanie (David) Hauserman, John (Kelly) Haburcsak, Brittanney (John Gault) Haburcsak, Scarlet (Josh Fabrizio) Haburcsak, Abby Haburcsak, Benjamin Lape, Corey Lape, David (Gayle) Kerns, Crystal Kerns, Ranee (Josh) Sleek, Crissy Wilhelm and Aaron Berkey; great-grandchildren, Jacob, Emily, Mason, Antonio, Emaly, Jonathan, Brittina (Dylan), Shelly, Shelby, Jillian, Jordan, Kaitlyn, Carin, Nehemiah, Nathanial and Jonathan; and great-great-granddaughter, Ashlyn; also brother, Theodore C. Stahl, Somerset. Kathryn was a graduate of Somerset High School. She delivered telegrams for Western Union during World War II and also worked for Somerset Farm Bureau, Mayfair Creamery, Stahl Oil, Baltimore Life Insurance and was assistant Postmaster for Gray Post Office until her retirement. Member of Mount Laurel United Church of Christ. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and spending time with her family and grandchildren. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset, and one hour prior to the service at the church which will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 2 at Mount Laurel United Church of Christ, Gray, the Rev.
