JOHNSTOWN — HROPOVICH – Edwin John, 65, Johnstown, died Jan. 29, 2013, at his residence. Born July 5, 1947, in Johnstown, son of John G. and Irene (Winogrodzki) Hropovich. Preceded in death by parents and first wife, Brenda (Cover) Hropovich. Survived by sister, Irene (Wildner) Sorchilla; former wife, Carole (Janisko) Hropovich; and numerous nieces and nephews. Edwin was a former member of SS. Casimir & Emerich Catholic Church, where he volunteered for fish fries and making pierogies. Member of St. Therese Catholic Church, where he was a member of the Neocatechumenal Way and 4th Degree Knights of Columbus Assembly 954. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc., 710 Broad St., where vigil for the deceased will be held and the Knights of Columbus Honor Guard will stand. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Therese Catholic Church, Father Bernard Karmonocky, OFM. Committal, Christ the Saviour Cemetery.
