BLACKLICK TOWNSHIP — CRAWFORD – Richard D., 78, Blacklick Township, passed away Feb. 5, 2013, at home. Born May 28, 1934, in Belsano, son of the late Dale and Grace (Bracken) Crawford. Preceded in death by son, Terry. Survived by wife of 59 years, the former Gaynelle Snedden; children, Rick, Cresson; Ted, Nanty Glo; Randy, and wife, Cathy, Georgia; Tim, Colver; and Jennifer, Sinking Spring, Pa.; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Also survived by brothers, Ronald, Revloc; and Thomas, and wife, Ann, Roaring Spring. Richard was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather, and an avid hunter and Steelers fan. He enjoyed many hunting trips with his sons. He retired from L. Robert Kimball & Associates after 35 years of service. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Askew-Houser Funeral Homes Inc., Nanty Glo, where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, the Rev. Clayton Harriger, officiating. Interment, Bethel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Richard’s memory may be made to The American Cancer Society.
