JENNER TOWNSHIP — WEIMER – Frederick H. Jr., 85, Jenner Township, died Nov. 22, 2012, at Memorial Medical Center. Born July 15, 1927, in Belltown, Pa., son of Frederick H. Sr. and Ermina (Swank) Weimer. Preceded in death by parents; wife, Emma L. (Roberts) Weimer, on Aug. 1, 2012. Survived by son, Galen Roberts, married to the former Robin (Brant) Leighty, Central City; grandchildren, Renee Leighty, Oakland, Calif.; Timothy Leighty, married to the former Jordana Fisher, Ferndale; Scott A. Roberts, married to the former Wendy Maust, Friedens; and Amy (Roberts), married to the former Rob Betsch, Freemont, Calif.; great-grandchildren, Scott and Shane Roberts, Friedens; and Courtney and Gillian Cantrell, Las Vegas, Nev.; brother, Roy, and wife, Sandy, Laughlintown; sister, Louise, married to Don Riffle, Greenville, S.C.; and numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews. A graduate of Ligonier Valley High School. A U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. Retired employee of Richard Mellon Scaife, Laughlintown, with 50 years of service. Lifetime member of Laughlintown Protective Association. Fred was an avid hunter, gardener and Pittsburgh Pirates, Steelers and Penguins fan. He also enjoyed watching old western movies. Viewing will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 409 Main St., Boswell, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Pastor Gary W. Anderson, presiding. Interment, Beam Cemetery, with military honors by Somerset County Honor Guard.
