EAST BRIDGEWATER, MASS. — HANNAN – Lori (Lubinsky), 49, East Bridgewater, Mass., died peacefully after a courageous two-year battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease) Feb. 25, 2013, surrounded by her family. Lori was the cherished wife of Myles Hannan Jr. for 26 years and the loving mother of Justin and Melissa Hannan, all of East Bridgewater, Mass. Lori was a dedicated oncology certified nurse whose compassion and love of nursing touched hundreds of people over her 25-year career at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, Mass., and Medical Oncology & Hematology, Brockton, Mass. Lori is survived by her brothers, Leonard Lubinsky Jr., and his wife, Leona, Dover, Pa., and David Lubinsky, and his wife, Lynn, Davidsville, Pa., as well as many nieces and nephews. Lori was raised in Johnstown, Pa., and was the daughter of the late Leonard Lubinsky Sr. and the late Irene (Romaniw) Lubinsky. Lori’s service will be held at 9 a.m. Friday, March 1, at Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street, Route 58 at the rotary circle, Whitman, Mass., followed by her funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. John’s Church, Central Street, East Bridgewater, Mass. Burial will follow at Central Cemetery in East Bridgewater, Mass. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 28. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Lori’s name to the ALS Association at alsa.org or the American Cancer Society at cancer.org.
