JOHNSTOWN — GAYDOS – Thomas J., 84, Johnstown, went to be with the Lord March 4, 2013, at Laurel View Village. Born Oct. 9, 1928, in Johnstown, son of Joseph J. and Anna M. (Koval) Gaydos. Preceded in death by parents; wife, Anna Marie (Michnya) Gaydos; son, Joseph Gaydos; and sisters, Emma Stigers and Agnes Nichii. He was the last survivor of his immediate family. Survived by daughters, Marion; Carolyn; and Stephanie, married to Richard Zacour. Also survived by grandchildren, Michael and Rachael; and daughter-in-law, Robin. A 1946 graduate of Greater Johnstown High School and U.S. Marine Corps veteran. He retired from the Franklin Mills Division of Bethlehem Steel Corp. with 32 years of service. For many years, Thomas enjoyed gardening and canning vegetables to enjoy all year long. He also enjoyed being outdoors, going for walks and playing cards. Member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, where funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Franciscan Friars OFM Conv. Committal, St. Francis Cemetery. Family and friends received from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc., Broad Street.
