Kathryn Bereschok

BERESCHOK – Kathryn, 92, Bellefontaine, Ohio, formerly of Maple Ridge, died May 12, 2008, in Bellefontaine. Born Oct. 27, 1915, in Shade Township, Somerset County, daughter of Samuel and Anna (Punako) Kerro. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Nicholas Bereschok, who died in 1987; infant son; daughter, Nancy Grandas; sisters, Mary Turkall and Anna Remaley; and brothers, John, Michael, Steve and Samuel Jr. Survived by son-in-law, Larry Grandas, and granddaughter, Angela K. Grandas. Also survived by sister-in-law, Ann Bereschok, and many nieces and nephews. Member of SS. Peter & Paul Orthodox Greek Catholic Church, Windber, where she was a member of the women’s club. An active committee woman and treasurer of Conemaugh Democratic Club. She was a register of vital records for 32 years and was a seamstress for Bestform for 10 years. Family receiving friends from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday at George E. Mason Funeral Home Inc., Davidsville, where Parastas service will be held at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at SS. Peter & Paul Orthodox Greek Catholic Church, Windber, the Very Rev. Father Miles Zdinak officiating. Committal, SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery.
