HOOVER – Gwendolyn, 87, Geistown, died July 5, 2009, at Memorial Medical Center. Born Jan. 13, 1922, in South Fork, daughter of the late George Leroy and Edna Mae (Stinebiser) Hesketh. Preceded in death by husband, Robert Hoover, who died Dec. 8, 1998; and son, Edward Raymond Edwards II. Survived by son, James M.; sister, Saundra Jeanne Heilmann, Johnstown; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She retired from Sears and was an active member at Elks BPOE 175. She was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church. At request of the deceased, there will be no public viewing. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 8, at St. Benedict Catholic Church. Entombment, Grandview Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tenn. 38105.
