Kathy A. McGarry

McGARRY – Kathy A., 53,  Cresson, died Nov. 6, 2009, at home. Born Aug. 30, 1956, in Cresson, daughter of John and Shirley (Owens) Slebodnick. Preceded in death by father; husband, Earl Thomas McGarry; and sister, Diana Lynn Swope. Survived by mother and stepfather, Shirley and James Latterner, Cresson; sister, Denise Gorba (Terry Yarnish), and brother, Joseph (fiancee, Melissa Hofer), all of Cresson; and several nieces and nephews. Employed at Station Inn, Cresson, since 1994. Member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, where she served as lector and Eucharistic minister. Kathy loved to talk and also loved cats. Friends received from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Charles M. Kennedy Funeral Home, Cresson, where vigil for the deceased will be held. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Francis Xavier Church, the Rev. George M. Gulash. Committal, church cemetery.
