HEETER – Beatrice V. (Shaffer), 94, Windber, passed away Nov. 8, 2009, at Golden Living Center, Johnstown. Born May 1, 1915, in Arrow, Pa., daughter of Sanky and Rosella Shaffer. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Elbie Heeter; and several brothers and sisters. Beatrice was the last surviving member of her immediate family, and survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Former employee of Kay Artley, Johnstown. Longtime volunteer at Lutheran Home, Johnstown. Member of the former Grace Lutheran Church, Windber, where she was a former choir member and served on various committees. Member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Windber, where memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, the Rev. David B. Letscher. Interment, Rummel Cemetery. There will be no viewing or visitation. Arrangements by William Kisiel Funeral Home, Windber. In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be directed to Good Shepherd Church Building Fund.
