CRISTE – Helen T., 81, Hollidaysburg, died Nov. 26, 2009, at Homewood at Martinsburg. Born Jan. 19, 1928, in Cresson, daughter of the late G. Alexander and Carolyn (Eberly) Stein. Preceded in death by sisters, Carolyn, Germaine, Martha, Jane and Mary Ellen; and brothers, Robert, William, Joseph and Alexander. Survived by husband, Donald F., whom she married Aug. 26, 1947, at St. Francis Xavier Church, Cresson; children, Gary F. (Deborah), Summersville, W.Va.; James D., Honduras, Central America; Thomas R. (Karen), Ann Arbor, Mich.; John E. (Diane), McMurray; Michael J. (Kennah), Point Pleasant, W.Va.; and Dawn M. Abbate (Scott), Cranberry Township; 18 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Sister of Ann Lennon, Pittsburgh; James, Washington, D.C.; and Sister Fran, R.S.M., Cresson. Also survived by special niece and godchild, P.K. She enjoyed bridge, pinochle and bowling. Member of St. Michael the Archangel Church, Hollidaysburg. Friends received from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Charles M. Kennedy Funeral Home, Cresson, where vigil for the deceased will be held. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Michael’s Church, Hollidaysburg, the Rev. Clement Gardner. Entombment, St. Francis Xavier Mausoleum, Cresson.
