LOBICK – Joseph S., 93, Northern Cambria, died Nov. 25, 2009, in Altoona. Born March 18, 1916, in Spangler, son of Stephen and Anna (Palisin) Lobick. Preceded in death by parents; wife, Margaret H. (Kommar) Lobick; daughter, Patty Ann Lobick; and brothers, John and Michael Lobick. Survived by children, Joseph, married to Audrey Shortencarrier, Hastings; and Mary M., wife of Robert Fowler, Fort Myers, Fla., formerly of Carrolltown; grandchildren, Julie (Eric) Thomas; Brian (Ali) Lobick; Jennifer (David) Pellas; Matthew Fowler, and fiancee, Maria Bogus; Dr. Jeannine Fowler; and Andrew (Marlena) Fowler; and seven great-grandchildren. Brother of Mary Marchesano, New York; Stephen Lobick, Northern Cambria; and Lawrence Gregor, New York. Retired coal miner with 70 years of union membership. Member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church, Northern Cambria; UMWA, District 2; and Spangler Fire Company. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Moriconi Funeral Home Inc., Northern Cambria, where wake service will be held. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at Prince of Peace Chapel, Father Larry Lacovic, celebrant. Interment, Holy Cross Cemetery.
