SALTSBURG — Josh Bonatesta scored 21 and Adam Polites added 14 as Northern Cambria picked up a win on Thursday night.
The Colts (7-2) rallied from an 11-point first-quarter deficit to post the victory.
Ian Satlar scored 26 points in loss. Steven Richards added 13. The Trojans slipped to 4-5 with the loss.

ARMAGH – Blairsville fell behind early but rallied for a seven-point win over host United.
The Bobcats landed three players in double figures. Andrew Iezzi led the way with 26, including three treys. Nick Helms and Tyler Ferguson added 11 points apiece in the win.
United was led by Stefan Moreau, who scored a game-high 27 points and pulled down 12 rebounds. Garrett Vindish added 14 in the loss.
The Lions fell to 2-7.

MUNDYS CORNER – Dom Williams scored 16 points, and Tyler Gary had
10 points as Cambria County Christian beat visiting Westmoreland Christian for the Panthers’ 10th victory of the season.

16 points, and Kate Meck had 15 as Bishop Guilfoyle defeated visiting Cambria Heights. Courtney Becker had 13 points for the 8-1 Marauders. Serafina Bills led 5-5 Heights with 15 points.

Jill Kegg scored 12 points, and Stephanie Hrbal had 10 as Bishop McCort beat visiting Johnstown.
The Crushers jumped to a 21-2 first-quarter advantage en route to their fifth victory. Janay Myers led Johnstown with 11 points.

Jen Percinsky scored 26 points as Conemaugh Valley defeated visiting Windber.
Courtney McCallay had 14 points and six rebounds for the Blue Jays. Jamie Cekada had seven assists and six rebounds.
Nicole Vasas led Windber with 17 points, and Jill Penatzer had 15 points.

CRESSON – Kaitlyn Krug scored
19 points and dished out 10 assists as Penn Cambria took care of business at home against Bishop Carroll in a 21-point victory.
In addition to Krug, Brianna Mulhern reached double digits, scoring 14 for the winners.
Bishop Carroll had two players score in double figures. Lauren Wyland had 14 while Krista Krug had 11 in the losing cause.
Penn Cambria upped its record to 6-2. Bishop Carroll dipped to 4-4.

BERLIN – Berlin jumped out to a 27-4 first-quarter lead and never looked back in a lopsided win over visiting Shade.
Four players reached double figures for Berlin, which saw its record improve to 8-1.
Brooke Wilson led the way with 14, while Shelby Coughenhour (13), Laura Etris (12) and Lauren Short (10) all chipped in.
Becca Muha scored 15 to lead the Panthers.

NANTY GLO – Breana Rege scored
21 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead Blacklick Valley.
Vikings teammae Alison Verba added
18 points and nabbed 18 rebounds and Brooke Rhoades had 14 points.
Bradie Rhoades and Ellie Fleegle led North Star with 15 and 10 points, respectively.

PORTAGE – Conemaugh Township got 13 points from Carly Baer, 12 each by Kayla Luprek and Kelsey Smith and 11 from Lindy Baer.
The Indians also got six rebounds from Katie Reckner and five assists from Megan Boyer.
Olivia McCabe led Portage with 19 points while Emily Chobany scored a dozen and Kaitlyn Dividock had 11.
Emily Chobany had 11 assists while Olivia McCabe and her cousin, Emily, each grabbed 10 rebounds.

Paige Lamberson scored 22 points, grabbed seven rebounds and made three steals to lead Westmont over visiting Bedford.
Erin Rodgers scored 16 points and had five assists, Gina Rievel had 15 points and six assists and Rachel Roper scored 12 points and had seven rebounds for the hosts.

AAABA League will open after busy offseason
The AAABA League opens on Tuesday at Point Stadium with two new, but familiar managers, a new but familiar sponsor, an expanded interleague schedule and two new franchises committed to the 2013 season.
A lot of activity took place during the offseason, including the AAABA national committee’s vote to expand the age limit to 21 years old beginning in 2013. -

Richland's Lumley settles for pair of silver medals
Paige Lumley was on an emotional roller coaster and seeing silver on Saturday at the PIAA Track and Field Championships at Shippensburg University.
The Richland senior had state record jumps twice during the triple jump competition, but ended up with a silver–medal leap of 40 feet,
1¾ inches.
Defending state champion, second-seeded junior Lanae Newsome of Brookville, won with a jump of 40-3½. -
Ridge’s Dull takes second with school-record time
Matt Dull finished his athletic career with his best on Saturday at the PIAA Track and Field Championships at Shippensburg University.
The Chestnut Ridge senior ran a career-best time of 38.12 to finish second in the 300 hurdles final, also setting another school record. -
Hit batsman lifts Pirates over Cubs
Matt Hague was hit by a pitch from Rafael Dolis with the bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth inning, and the Pittsburgh Pirates sent the Chicago Cubs to their 11th straight loss with a 3-2 victory Saturday night.
Hague took a 96 mph fastball from Dolis (2-4) in the back near the shoulder blade, scoring Jose Tabata and eliciting an incredulous look to the sky by the Cubs reliever. -
