Alex Bentley scored 21 points and Maggie Lucas added 18 to help No. 9 Penn State beat No. 16 Texas A&M 63-58 on Wednesday night.
Trailing 56-51 with 6:24 left, Penn State (2-0) closed the game with a 12-2 spurt.
Junior center Kelsey Bone led the Aggies with 16 points and 15 rebounds, but had two turnovers in the final 58 seconds.
Karla Gilbert added 10 points for Texas A&M (0-2), which lost its opener to Louisville.
The Aggies finished with 23 turnovers after having only nine at the half.
Penn State had 14 turnovers at the break but finished with 19.
The Aggies outrebounded the Lady Lions 49-42.
