Stoystown 12 Ebensburg 2
CAIRNBROOK – Brett Hart was 3 for 3 with a double and scored three runs while Lance Blough went 2 for 4 with a double and two runs scored as Stoystown downed Ebensburg in six innings on Saturday in Cambria County American Legion action.
Nash Walker was 3 for 5 with two RBIs and Nathan Defibaugh was 2 for 5 with two RBIs and scored twice for Stoystown.
Winning pitcher Cameron Darr had a two-run single in the sixth that ended the game.
Darr had a perfect game going into the fifth before he gave up a walk, then Ebensburg’s Zac Ambrisco hit a single to break up the no-hit bid.
Richland 3, Bedford 1
BEDFORD – Ryan Orlovsky threw a complete game with
10 strikeouts and two walks while scattering five hits as visiting Richland topped Bedford.
Orlovsky helped his own cause with two hits for Richland (8-13), which also got a triple from Bobby Varner and a double from Steve Moxim.
Brad Winegardner was 3 for 3 for Bedford (15-7).
Lilly 11, Meyersdale 7
LILLY – Lilly overcame a seven-run first inning by visiting Meyersdale to earn the victory.
Justin Fuller was 4 for 4 with a triple and three RBIs while Simon Itle was 2 for 5 for Lilly (8-14).
Lance Leydig was 2 for 4 with a triple, teammate Gabe Yoder was 2 for 2 and Conner Christner was 2 for 4 for Meyersdale (10-11).
