20 points, Dwight Andrews had 18 and Alkwan Williams added 15 to lead Johnstown to a Laurel Highlands Athletic Conference non-section win on Monday night.
Williams had 13 rebounds, Isaiah Haselrig 10 and Andrews, seven. Philip Madson handed Trojans teammates nine assists while Brandon had four assists and three steals.
Zack Vigneault’s 18 points led the Red Devils, who got 15 from Zach Ambrisco.

SOMERSET – Penn Cambria outrebounded Somerset 37-24 in a narrow road win.
A.J. Leahey scored a game-high 21 points for the Panthers, who also got 10 points from Devin Lawhead.
Jake Close topped the Golden Eagles with 15 points while Brent Barron added 14 points and Eddie Buck had 10.

BERLIN – Kyle Cooney and Alex Will each scored 13 points to lead host Berlin Brothersvalley to a win over Portage.
Ryan Lynch added 10 points for the Mountaineers while the Mustangs got 15 points from Sean Cronauer.

NANTY GLO – A trio of Blacklick Valley players scored in double figures led by Alison Verba with 17 points as the Vikings downed visiting North Star.

Amanda Lohr topped the Cougars with 15 points.

SIDMAN – Casey Gallaher scored 16 points to lead Forest Hills to a win over visiting Johnstown.
Julie Marks and Amy Wiesheier had 10 points each for the Rangers, who also got three steals and three assists from Becky Bard.
Tynesha Smith led all scorers with 19 points for the Trojans.

CRESSON – Megan Wheeler scored 14 points to lead Penn Cambria. Brianna Mulhern had a dozen points while Brianna Kearney and Kaitlyn Krug scored 10 each for the hosts.
The Owls got 11 points from Makenzie Kruise.

UPJ women notch victory
The UPJ women broke open a seven-point game with a 15-2 run to start the second half en route to an 82-57 WVIAC victory over Wheeling Jesuit Monday night at the Sports Center.
Andrea Dalton scored 17 points and matched her career high with 15 rebounds to help Pitt-Johnstown win its third straight game and eighth in its last nine to improve to 12-8 overall and 10-6 in conference-play.
The Lady Cats had a 33-26 advantage at the half, but Kelly Goode scored seven of her
16 points to open the second half, helping the Lady Cats build their lead. Sheena Aden added
13 points, six rebounds and five assists for UPJ.
UPJ shot 46.2 percent (30 of 65) from the field while holding Wheeling Jesuit to just 29.9 percent (20 of 67) shooting. The Lady Cats, who held a 50-39 advantage in rebounding, were 7 of 17 from behind the 3-point line and
15 of 22 from the free-throw line.
The Cardinals hit 13 of 16 from the charity stripe.
Wheeling Jesuit downs UPJ men
Wheeling Jesuit built a 20-point first-half advantage Monday en route to a 93-78 victory at the UPJ Sports Center, handing the Mountain Cats their first home loss of the season.
UPJ has lost three of its past four games, slipping to 13-7 overall and 10-6 in the WVIAC.
Jordan Miller’s 18 points led five Mountain Cats in double figures.
Miller connected on his third
3-pointer of the first half as time expired to cut the Mountain Cats deficit to 52-35, and UPJ opened the second half with a 17-5 run to make it 57-52 on Patrick Grubbs’ basket at 12:59. But, Brad DuPont’s basket 2 minutes later got Wheeling Jesuit’s lead back to 11 at 68-57.
Nick Novak’s basket at 8:37 got the Mountain Cats to within seven at 70-63, but a Wheeling Jesuit basket increased the Cardinals’ lead to 81-68 with 5:08 to play. The Cats never got closer than nine the rest of the way.
Miller, of Vinco, had a team-high seven assists. Grubbs and Danny Branch each scored 16 points, while Grubbs pulled down a team-high 10 rebounds.
Bill Luther collected 14 points and five rebounds, and Novak rounded out the double-figure scorers with 12 points, three rebounds and four assists.
