3 women charged with prostitution at SW Pa. spa

BRIDGEVILLE — Police have charged three women with prostitution at a southwestern Pennsylvania spa, and the FBI is now investigating whether the business has ties to human trafficking or organized crime.

Online court records don’t list attorneys for the three women arrested Tuesday when 88 Spa was raided in Bridgeville. The suspects are 52-year-old Ok Ja Ko of Aurora, Colo., 57-year-old Chong Hee Kil, of Glenview, Ill., and 58-year-old Heemae Jeong, of Fort Lee, N.J.

Bridgeville police Chief Chad King says his department has been investigating complaints about the business since December 2011, about two months after it was granted a local occupancy permit.

Authorities say the women also lived at the business.

King says authorities are “trying to determine if these women were taken by human traffickers and forced into the business.”
