Family: Mom, daughter lured to Westmoreland County shooting scene

MURRYSVILLE — Family members tell police that a woman and her daughter who were killed and wounded, respectively, in a Westmoreland County murder-suicide were lured there by the man who shot them.

Murrysville police and Westmoreland County Coroner Kenneth Bacha say 21-year-old Michael Lunsford of Murrysville shot and killed 50-year-old Gina Llewellyn of Allegheny Township and wounded the woman’s daughter, 22-year-old Lynall Llewellyn, before fatally shooting himself Saturday night.

Family members say Lunsford lured the women to a parking lot near a closed restaurant and an animal hospital by claiming a dog had been hit by a car.

Chief Thomas Seefeld says the shootings resulted from an unspecified domestic dispute.

Lynall Llewellyn remained in a Pittsburgh hospital Monday in stable condition.

The coroner says Lunsford fatally shot her mother in the chest before shooting himself in the head.
