BEAVER —
A western Pennsylvania police office has surrendered his personal and duty weapons and is taking personal leave after a woman claimed he stalked her and threated to kill himself.
The attorney for Beaver police Sgt. Ken McCoy denies the allegations and says his client looks forward to a hearing scheduled Thursday on the protection from abuse order request.
Chief Dan Madgar says in the Beaver County Times report that McCoy has been on leave since the woman filed the request Oct. 1. In it, she claims McCoy threatened to kill himself and wouldn’t let her out of the car after she “confronted him about his lies of filing for divorce and my recent discovery of his other girlfriend of six years.”
The woman claims she’s afraid of harm because McCoy allegedly calls and texts her and drives past her home.
