Carolyn Confer and Anthony Bafile were married June 29, 2012, at J. Verno Studio, Pittsburgh.
Mayor Adam Forgie performed the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of William and Helen Confer of Hummelstown, Dauphin County.
The groom is the son of Anthony and Gloria Bafile of Windber.
Presented in marriage by her father, the bride was attended by Heather Spitler as maid of honor.
Bridesmaid was Susie Confer.
Mark Lawery was the best man.
Groomsman was Jeff Ramsay.
Ushers were Will and Brandon Confer.
A reception was held at J. Verno Studio.
The bride and groom honeymooned in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.
The bride is a 2004 graduate of Pitt-Johnstown, where she received a bachelor’s degree in sociology, and a 2006 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, where she earned a master’s degree in social work.
She is a clinical crisis coordinator in the Department of Medical Ethics/UPMC Shadyside.
The groom is a 2004 graduate of Pitt-Johnstown, where he received a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, and a 2011 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, Katz School of Business, where he earned a master’s degree in business administration.
He is a senior engineer employed by Philips Respironics.
The newlyweds reside in Pittsburgh.
