JOHNSTOWN —
Jessica Lynn Novak and Mark Ronald Bako were married Aug. 11, 2012, at St. Benedict Roman Catholic Church.
The Rev. Michael Wolfe performed the double-ring
ceremony and celebrated a Nuptial Mass.
The bride is the daughter of Greg and Karen Novak of Boswell.
The groom is the son of Ron and Judy Bako of Johnstown.
Presented in marriage by her father, the bride was attended by Maggie Shannon of Stoystown, as maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Kim Buchanan of Johnstown; Amanda (Stanczyk) Durrant of Forks, Wash.; Lori (Gilbert) DiFrancesco of Westmont; and Vickie (Martin) Sachs of Riverside, Calif.
Michael Bako of Johnstown was his brother’s best man.
Groomsmen were Greg Gisler of Pittsburgh; Ross Rogers of Athens, Ohio;
Adam Rogers of Pittsburgh; and Rick Mishler of Johnstown.
Usher was Adam Novak of Derry, Westmoreland County, brother of the bride.
Leo Lopez of Dallas, Texas, godson of the bride, was the ringbearer.
A reception was held at St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Church, Davidsville.
The bride and groom honeymooned in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.
The bride is a 2001 graduate of North Star High School, Boswell, and a 2007 graduate of Duquesne University,
where she earned a master’s degree.
She is a speech language pathologist employed by Aegis Therapies at Golden
Living Center, Richland Township.
The groom is a 2002 graduate of Bishop McCort High School and a 2005 graduate of Mount Aloysius College, where he received an associate degree.
He is a physical therapist assistant employed by Aegis Therapies at Golden Living Center, Hastings.
The newlyweds reside in Ebensburg.
