JOHNSTOWN —
Abby Lynne Houck and Robert Jason Simmons were married June 4, 2011, at St. Patrick Shrine Roman Catholic Church, Carlisle.
The Rev. Dwight Schlaline performed the double-ring ceremony and celebrated a Nuptial Mass.
The bride is the daughter of Thomas Houck and Deborah Houck of Carlisle.
The groom is the son of Christine Simmons of Nanty Glo and the late Robert Simmons.
Presented in marriage by her parents, the bride was attended by her cousin, Stephanie Hair as maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Renee Brown, Janette Lehman, Rebecca Foote and Heather Bear.
Christopher Zamboni was the best man.
Ushers were Ryan Houck, brother of the bride; Jordan Houck, brother of the bride; Dr. Richard Goodrich Jr.; Brandon Verba; Jason Galli; and Dr. Marquis Hawkins.
Leah Bear was the flower girl.
Richard Goodrich III was the ringbearer.
A dinner and reception were held at Dickinson College, Carlisle.
The bride is a 2001 graduate of Big Spring High School and a 2005 graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
She is employed by Carnegie Mellon University as a media relations specialist.
The groom is a 2001 graduate of Blacklick Valley High School, Nanty Glo, and a 2005 graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
He is employed by Guardian Industries as an inside sales manager.
The newlyweds reside in Pittsburgh.
