JOHNSTOWN — Alicia “Sunny” Zampogna and Joshua Simon were married Nov. 11, 2011, at Mount St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, New Kensington, Westmoreland County.

The Rev. Benedetto Vaghetto performed the double-ring ceremony and celebrated a Nuptial Mass.

The bride is the daughter of Sonny and Kathy Zampogna of New Kensington.

The groom is the son of Jerry and Joy Simon of Windber.

Presented in marriage by her father, the bride was attended by Jamie Sapia as matron of honor.

Bridesmaids were Manda Fesko, Kristen Carlisle, Nicole McConnell, Melissa Wickline and Leah McConnell.

Michael Allison was the best man.

Groomsmen were Michael Fesko, Rusty Weaver, Zach Zampogna, Brad Petrilla, Tony Hamrick and Michael Phillips.

Audrey Breznican and Isabella Regoli were the flower girls.

Austin Ackerman was the ringbearer.

Casey Ackerman and Courtney Fesko read Scripture.

Tom Octave was the vocalist.

A reception was held at Futules Harmar House, Cheswick, Allegheny County.

The bride and groom honeymooned on a Carribean cruise.

The bride is a 2004 graduate of Valley High School and a 2009 graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

She is pursuing a nurse practitioner degree at Duquesne University, Pittsburgh.

She is a registered nurse at UPMC Children’s Hospital, Pittsburgh.

The groom is a 2002 graduate of Windber Area High School and a 2006 graduate of West Virginia University, where he received dual bachelor’s degrees in electrical and computer engineering.

He is an FGD and fuel supervisor employed by GenOn Energy.

The newlyweds reside in Pittsburgh.
