JOHNSTOWN —
Krista Marie Kerch and Casey Stuart Leman were married June 23, 2012, at First Lutheran Church, Portage.
The Rev. John Palko performed the double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Martin and Brenda Kerch of Portage.
The groom is the son of Loretta Leman of Portage and the late Stuart Leman.
Presented in marriage by her father, the bride was attended by her sister,
Kelli Kerch, as maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Carli Leman, sister of the groom; Ashlee McCabe; Emily Horn; Whitney Myers; Lea Trusik; and Sarah Wolford.
Justin Leman was his brother’s best man.
Groomsmen were James Patterson, Andrew Phillips, Ben Latoche, Brian Adams, Ryan Walkovich and Cory Fuller.
Cheryl Sherbine was the organist.
Kelly Devett was the vocalist, accompanied by Christine Demorest on violin.
Susan Schaffranek, godmother of the bride, and Sherry Kowalczyk, godmother of the groom, read Scripture.
A rehearsal dinner was held at Rizzo’s Restaurant, Windber.
A reception was held at This Is It, Johnstown.
The bride and groom will honeymoon on a cruise to the Bahamas.
The bride is a 2005 graduate of Portage Area High School and a 2009 graduate
of Penn State, where she received a bachelor’s degree with distinction in bioengineering.
She earned a doctorate of osteopathic medicine from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2012.
She is a family medicine resident at UPMC St. Margaret Hospital, Pittsburgh.
The groom is a 2005 graduate of Portage Area High School and a 2010 graduate of Penn State, where he received a bachelor’s degree in architectural engineering.
He is employed by Astorino engineering firm, Pittsburgh.
The newlyweds reside in Pittsburgh.
