HARRISBURG —
Legendary singer-songwriter Bob Dylan’s upcoming summer tour will roll into Johnstown.
The raw, raspy “Voice of a Generation” whose career has spanned six decades, will make an Aug. 29 stop at the Cambria County War Memorial Arena, Dylan’s official website and Ticketmaster are reporting.
Tickets are expected to go on sale this weekend. They are listed on Ticketmaster.com ranging from $47 to $78.
Dylan’s Johnstown visit comes as the folk rock icon is reportedly scheduled to release his 35th album in September.
His self-titled first album, meanwhile, which contained “Song to Woody” and a collection of generations-old folk and blues tracks such as “Highway 51,” “House of the Rising Sun” and “Man of Constant Sorrow” turned 50 this spring. In between, he penned songs like “The Times They Are a-Changin’,” “Like a Rolling Stone,” and “Mr. Tamborine Man,” and albums such as Blood on the Tracks and Bringin’ it all Back Home.
The stop is apparently part of a 14-city North American tour that begins Aug. 10.
Johnstown is listed as Dylan’s only Pennsylvania visit.

Almost certainly, no Cambria County Special Emergency Response Team members will ever be called upon to create a small bridge out of two pieces of wood and rope, use the newfangled walkway to get a group of individuals from one point to another, pick up an object at the end of the course and then figure out a way back to the starting point.

Locke allowed three hits over seven innings, Pedro Alvarez homered and the Pittsburgh Pirates won for the eighth time in 10 games, 1-0 over the Houston.
Locke (4-1) won his fourth straight decision and gave up one run or fewer for the fifth time in his past eight outings. He struck out four and walked three.
