All-American Travis McKillop and national qualifiers Dave Cawley and Keith Ryan were named to the 2012-13 National Wrestling Coaches Association Division II All-Academic Wrestling First-Team.
Glenn Winslow garnered honorable mention NWCA All-Academic Team honors.
As a team, Pitt-Johnstown’s 3.104 overall GPA ranked 14th in NCAA Division II.
McKillop, a two-time All-American on the mat, placed seventh at the National Tournament in 2012 as a true freshman, before posting a 33-2 overall record this past seasons and finishing third at nationals.
Cawley earned a spot in the national tournament this year and became an All-American with a seventh-place finish.
Ryan secured the starting job at 165 lbs. as a senior this year and reached the national tournament, but did not place.
BASEBALL
UPJ win streak ended at seven
FORT PIERCE, Fla. – Southern Connecticut State jumped on Pitt-Johnstown starter Andrew Keirn for seven runs over five innings on its way to ending the Mountain Cats’ seven-game winning steak with an 8-1 victory, Tuesday.
The Mountain Cats slipped to 8-2.
Nate Sabados produced Pitt-Johnstown's lone run with an RBI double.
Keirn took the loss and dropped to 0-1 after surrendering seven earned runs on 11 hits in five innings. Keirn also struck out three and walked one.
