LIBERTY BELL REPLICA’S TOWER COMING DOWN TO MAKE WAY FOR REVOLUTIONARY WAR MUSEUM
The crack-free duplicate bell, a gift from Great Britain cast in the same foundry as its famous twin, is being moved from a tower constructed for the 1976 Bicentennial. The bell will be held in storage.

The Allegheny County on Tuesday asked a judge two questions about charges that fired Pittsburgh state prison guard Harry Nicoletti directed workers to help him physically and sexually abuse gay inmates and convicted child molesters. That may signal the jury is close to rendering a verdict today.

U.S. District Judge Anita Brody has scheduled an April 9 hearing on motions to dismiss the lawsuits against the NFL Inc., NFL Properties Inc. and All American Sports Corp. Players say they’ve developed dementia and Alzheimer’s disease, or are worried about developing them. The NFL has argued it didn’t intentionally mislead the players and took steps to protect their health.
